In this blog I will be talking to everyone about top ten weapons of the military. I will start off with the signal most powerful weapon in our arsenal. The number one spot belongs to the Hydrogen Bomb because it is the strongest weapon we have but the only thing about it is we do not use it unless necessary.
The number to spot bomb wise would be the Nuclear Bomb. It is our second strongest bomb and we have use two of them but again we only use these if we have to.
Okay that's enough about bombs lets talk about some aircraft's. I have told you about the unmanned plane all ready some this time I will talk about one of our best maned planes. From what I gather I believe this is one of our best maned aircraft. So the number three spot belongs to the SR71 or Black Bird. The SR71 was not an assault aircraft its main use is for Recon and spying. It also set the world record for fastest flight New York to London in less than two hours.
I give the number four spot to the M1A2 Abram. It is a tank and a very good one at that. The M1A2 Abram has a 120mm M256 smoothbore gun and of course it shoots a 120mm round.
The number five spot goes to the Humvee. The reason I give the fifth spot to the Humvee is because it is a great vehicle. The US Military mainly uses these for there land all terrain vehicles.
The rest of the top ten is going to be assault rifles sense I feel that I have covered most categories. Well the number six spot goes to the AK-47. It holds 30 rounds in a magazine and a fire rate of 600 rounds a minute.
The number seven spot goes to my favorite out of all the assault rifles the M-16. The M-16 can hold 20-30 rounds and has a fire rate of 700-950 rounds a minute.
Eighth spot goes to the Lee-Enfield Smle, it can hold 10 rounds and shoots 15-20 rounds a minute but this is because it is a bolt action.
The ninth spot goes to the M1- Garand. The M1-Garand holds 8 rounds in a magazine and shoots 30 rounds a minute.
The ten and final spot belongs to the FN-FAL. It hold up to 20 rounds and shoots 650-700 rounds a minute.

Technologies of our military.
In this blog post I will be talking about new technologies of the military. I hope you will find this as interesting as I do. I am going to start off by talking about something that may seem impossible, but the US Military is developing liquid body armor. Yes I know what you're thinking this sounds impossible but it's true. This armor has a liquid inside of it that has some very unique properties. When hit by a bullet the liquid hardens and prevents the bullet from going through to the soldier, thus the soldier does not get hurt. The benefits of the liquid body armor is that it allows the soldier more mobility, it is lightweight and lets the soldier aim as he runs. More about the liquid body armor:
The key component of liquid armor is a shear thickening fluid. STF is composed of hard particles suspended in a liquid. The liquid, polyethylene glycol, is non-toxic, and can withstand a wide range of temperatures. Hard, nano-particles of silica are the other components of STF. This combination of flowable and hard components results in a material with unusual properties.
This next segment is going to be talking about aircraft. I figure since I told you about some equipment they are developing then I would also tell you about a aircraft. Now this aircraft is called Falcon HTV-2 and from what I gather this aircraft has already been built. The Falcon HTV-2 can reach up to 13,000 mph, while withstanding temperatures up to 2,000c. 13,000mph is 20 times the speed of sound! The reason for this plane being built is because the US Military wanted to make a plane that could drop bombs anywhere in the world while reach that part of the world in less than an hour.
I hope you enjoyed learn about the new things that other military are coming up with and have built. I find this type of stuff very interesting as I hope you do as well.

Statics about each branch in the US Military
I am going to start off these statics with the wages each branch of the military makes.
In the Army, the starting wage for a private (E1) is 17,892 for two years of experience.
A private (E1) in the Marine Corps makes about 35,753 if you have two years of serves.
In the Navy, a private (E1) makes around 17,366 a year if you have two years of experience.
If you are in the Air Force and you are a private (E1), you will make around 17,892 a year.
If you are in the Coast Guard and you have two years of experience and you are a private, (E1) you make 18,062 a year.
I was going to start the next set of statics on death rates of each branch but sadly I could only find death rates of the US Army. So the rate of death to person years lived for the US Army is 3.92 to 1000.
The thing that all branches in the military have in common is that the military is not just physical its mental. You have to use your mind in complicated situation. The US Army claims that "your greatest weapon is your mind" and I do agree with this quote.
All branches of the military have basic training. Although some branches basic training is more extreme and way more difficult than those of others, its still basic training.
Navy Seals is one of the hardest when it comes to basic training and so is the Marine Crops. These are the ones I know for a fact that are hard. The Army's basic training is hard but not as extreme as other same thing goes for Coast Guard and Air Force.
This is not saying that the Navy Seals and Marine Crops are better. I do not mean that in any way. None of the basic training is the same for each branch. They all are different and may be preparing you for different situations.

About me
My name is Jacob Lemley. I am a do it yourself kinda of person. If you want something done right in your eyes than you will have to do it yourself. A few things that I love to do are work out by lifting weights, running and I love to play football. Its is my favorite sport mainly because you get to hit people.
When I get older I plan to enlist into the military to serve my country and to get a good education if I can't pay for it myself. I like to learn about how the military works and how they fight. I am very interested in fire arms, I prefer big guns. The main reasons for me enlisting into the military are for my education, serving my country, and to get stronger, faster and all around better.
I enjoy learning and hearing what people have to say about the military and politics because it is fun to debate with them on there opinions.
