This blog post is going to be about comparing and contrasting the US Army with the Marine Corps. I will start off by comparing the things they have in common.
The US Army and the Marine Corps have some stuff in common but not really a lot. The Army and the Marines Corps both are in the Department of Defense. The thing they have in common a lot is all the engagements there are in together. Most of these you probably know but for the people that don't know them here they are.
The US Army and the Marines both where in the following wars, American Civil war, American Revolutionary war, Banana wars, Boxer Rebellion, Gulf War, Korean War, Mexican- American war, Spanish-American war,
Vietnam war, War in Iraq, World war 1 and 2. There are a few more that I did not list because I think I made the list long enough.
Now I will tell you about some differences between the US Army and the Marine Corps. They are both founded on different dates. The US Army was founded in June 14 1775, and the Marine Corps is founded in November 10 1775. The Marine Corps is not in the Department of the Army but it is in the Department of the Navy which the Army is not in the Department of the Navy.
The Army and the Marine Corps both have different mottoes. The Marine Corps was in the following wars that the US Army was not in, Barbary War, Quasi-War, and the Seminole Wars. The Army was in two wars that the Marine Corps was not in and they are the Indian Wars, and the Utah War.
